I can't recommend "School of Rock" enough. Jack Black is his perfect spastic self, as the role was crafted specifically for him. The kids are cute, talented, and funny. The plot isn't totally ridiculous, and somehow veers from standard "group of misfits that challenge and beat the jerks" fare (don't worry, I didn't give anything away there). The conviction of Jack Black's character to rock n' roll is inspiring. The laughs are "face-melting" and "gut-busting." Even the clip when the credits roll is hilarious. I'm buying it as soon as it goes on DVD. Which really doesn't mean much since I also own Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension. Whatever.
Okay, maybe Autumn and Dave's presence helped...
