I've been invited to participate in a benefit art show on Saturday, December 6th at the New Sama Yoga Studio, 3226 Thatcher Ave. in Marina Del Rey. The event starts at 7pm and is called Open Your HeART. Proceeds go to the Door of Faith Orphanage in Baja, Mexico. Several other artists will be showing there work, as well as DJ's performing all night. There's a minimum $10 donation at the door, wine will be served, and artwork raffled off too!

I'll be showing 4 pieces, and if you went to my previous art show on Vine, you'll be seeing the same stuff. All pieces will be on sale, and I'll bring some extras unframed too. But hey, maybe you can win one in the raffle!

Need more info? Shoot me an email.

Oy. Haven't been up to much... Until now!!!! Disneyland was a blast, but really, cmon. Am I supposed to really be happy that Space Mountain is closed till 2005? Blasphemy. Tricia, Jared, Blake, Natalie, Maggie, and I made the best of it though. It was fantasmic.

Mando Diao are hard rockers from Sweden (good sweet pop seems to be oozing out of all them there Scandinavians). Saw them last night. Thanks Casey.

Going home for Thanksgiving. Have a good one, ya'll.

"New" music, anyone? Here ya go...

!!! - Yeah, that's the name of the band. Pronounced "chk chk chk" or "pow pow pow" among others, they've got a full dance band with a sound a la Joy Division. A step above them is...

The Rapture - Echoes - Dance grooves that won't let you not move your feet. Try it, you'll like it

Cardia - I've only heard this one song called Stars, but it's blowing my mind. Powerful rock ballad. Powerful. I'm gonna play this one to death.

Oh yeah, and if you're in Tokyo, Japan by chance, go to the Rocket Gallery. The Up Our Sleeve show is going there, kicking off tomorrow night with a party, and staying there for a week. I've got 2 pieces in there, and a few friends that also did some covers. Check out the site here to get more info on what it's all about.

And if you're in Japan, you have no idea the bounds of my envy. Green, my friends. Green.

Keep December 13th, 2003 open dammit. Don't you dare touch it. Leave it. Ixnay on that day. Trust me. Do it, and it's your mistake. Big mistake. That Saturday is mine. Or, I should say, ours...

Hey hey. Not much going on... Yet. Tomorrow I go to All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in Long Beach. Should be a pretty damn amazing time. Great bands abound. Too bad the event coordinators suck. No tickets were delivered, so all, ALL people have to pick up their tickets at will call. Frickin' mess.

Also, I have 2 pieces showing at a friend's art show tomorrow at 3pm - 6pm. It's at 372 South Cochran Avenue, Apt#7 in Los Angeles, Mircale Mile to be exact. Go check it out if you have a chance. There's a bunch of other artists showing their work, including the curator (and resident of the apartment) Jason Macaya. Beautiful stuff. I just happened to have designed his site too. Woohoo.

Oy. What a weekend. Halloween was a hoot. And by hoot I mean freezing my ass off in the pouring rain while watching The Cramps and Queens of the Stone Age rock out at the open-air Greek Theater. Not so swift. Thanks to Viola. I had a good time. Really.

Then Saturday comes around a.k.a. The Procedure To Having A Bad Day. Step 1. Drive out to see my buddy Raymundo's graffiti exhibit in Alhambra and proceed to get lost for about half an hour. Step 2. Stay only 30 minutes for fear of akward tension with evicted roommate that owes roughly $3,000. Step 3. Grab McDonalds, place bag on seat. Make sharp turn whereas the bag tips completely over spilling contents on car floor. Step 4. Proceed cleanup of french fry catastrophe by throwing them back into bag. Step 5. Realize upon reaching the front door that the car keys, as well as door keys, were left in car during french fry cleanup. Step 6. Cry.

Thanks to Autumn, Autumn's mom, and Nicole for din din though. That turned the whole weekend around.
