Whoa. So, a quick respite from my abrupt death. This snuck up on me, but I'm part of an art show called Sneaker Pimps starting this Friday night, July 2nd, at Inshallah (where that last album cover art show was). The party is Friday night (with free Red Stripe!), and Saturday evening is more viewing. Click here for more info. I should be at the party this Friday night, so come on by. Before I die again...

I regret to inform you that I, Geoff Oki, died two nights ago. I'd like to thank the shot throught the heart, the knife in the back, the discovery that I lack a backbone, a shot liver, a very upset stomach, a pain in the ass, and cancer of the balls (aka losing one's marbles) for doing me in. Perhaps this is why you haven't heard from me in awhile. Perhaps this is why you won't hear from me in awhile. I hope to be resurrected in a fortnight's time (that's two weeks friends). Flowers and condolences can be sent to 938 Palm Ave. #3, West Hollywood, CA 90069.

Thanks to all that showed up last night. As always, I appreciate the support. If you were in line and decided that it was taking to long, I appreciate that too! Sorry for the huge crowd. But hey, outta my control.

Oh, and also, major congrats to Ann and Nate P. They gave birth to Lucas on June 2nd, a day after my bday! No doubt he'll be one day cooler than me...

Hola everybody. Another event coming up showing some of my work is the one year anniversary of the Up Our Sleeve show. I have two pieces in the show, and if you went last year, there's plenty more new album covers that have been done too. My friend Nick Starr has written a great play, and I did a flyer for it. You can check it out here. It starts July 9th, and the script is very cool. He was the only one nominated for best short play by LA Weekly this past year, and so he won it (duh). So he's, ya know, legit and stuff. Cool.
